Checking for Ghosting
Ghosting (a faint double image of the text) indicates that your printhead alignment is slightly off. The intricate serif fonts on this test quickly expose this issue.
Capillary Bleed on Paper
If tiny fonts look bold or smudged, your paper is absorbing ink too quickly (capillary bleed). Attempt switching to a higher GSM or specific inkjet-rated paper.
Micro-Font Legibility
Professional printers should render 4pt fonts legibly. Blurry micro-fonts are often a sign of using low-grade third-party ink that spreads heavily upon impact.
Vector vs Raster Output
Since our typography test uses vector fonts, jagged edges suggest your printer drivers might be forcing a low-res bitmap conversion. Ensure you are using the official PostScript or PCL drivers.
